Rector

The Reverend Patrick J. Greene

Having grown up in Barrington as a member of St. John’s, Fr. Patrick returned to St. John’s to serve as Rector in November of 2018. Fr. Patrick has a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s in Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. Fr. Patrick lives in Barrington with his wife Carmen, their two children Jackson and Hazel and their dog Tucker.

Fr. Patrick and Carmen enjoy seeing shows at Trinity Rep and watching live music. Fr. Patrick also enjoys reading, ultimate frisbee and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Deacon

The Reverend Michele Adamo

Ordained in 2020 during a pandemic, Michele comes to her diaconal ministry with years of professional experience - most of them in marketing and communications where she supported clients and creatives in print, digital, and event marketing. Since 2016, Michele has been the Office and Communications Manager at Beneficent Congregational Church - a diverse urban congregation - where she uses both her professional and diaconal skills every day.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland who lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Rhode Island in 1997, Michele has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Bucknell University. She has volunteered for several organizations over the years including her sponsoring church, Sts. Matthew and Mark Episcopal Church; the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island; Dorcas International Institute; and PeaceLove Studios.

Michele will be serving as a regional deacon in the East Bay at St. Johns and Sts. Matthew and Mark in Barrington. Her work will involve finding ways for both churches to collaborate and share ministries that deliver impact to those most in need in our community.
