Youth Group Meetings

Sunday evenings     (6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.)

Middle school and high school youth meet together each Sunday evening for Bible study, social activities, service opportunities, and projects inspired and informed by the interests and experiences of teenagers.  Our leaders are committed to enabling our youth to explore their faith in an environment that is safe, meaningful, and fun.

Dinner is provided by a rotating schedule of parent volunteers and we are always looking to supplement their efforts with donations of drinks and snacks.

High School Mission Team

Grades 9 through 12      (First two Wednesdays of the month, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

Open to older youth, this group’s main task is to research and plan service opportunities, from local food drives to domestic and international mission trips.  Interested students meet at least twice per month to explore the nature of service, brainstorm projects and travel destinations, and to plan fundraisers.

Small Groups

Task-oriented groups generally meet on Tuesdays after school or before youth group gatherings.  The Steering Committee is a small group of youth who have demonstrated leadership potential; as such, they assist with regular youth group meetings as well as with special projects.  Art Team gathers regularly to distill the ideas of the larger group into cohesive and relevant products using art forms such as comic books, murals, photographs, and creative writing.

Special Events

Throughout the liturgical year, we offer a variety of activities in which children and youth can participate. These include pumpkin carving, St. Nicholas Day, the Christmas Pageant, Chili Cook-Off, Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, Good Friday Way of the Cross, Easter egg hunt, and more. We are always looking for volunteers to help with crafts, cooking, set-up, clean-up, and multiple tasks associated with running vibrant and successful programs for our young people.
